Hotel Highway Garden had its humble beginnings as the Highway Garden Nursery, in the year 1988, where different varieties of plants were reared and kept for sale. Later on as it became a favourite haunt of people it was turned into an exclusive drive in vegetarian restaurant in 1990, offering mouth-watering delicacies to the gourmet palate. Stepping further into high-class highway hospitality services, the hotel underwent extensive refurbishment to suit the demands and needs of the evolving traveler and in 1996 the hotel Highway Garden with two star facilities started functioning in the newly constructed block with all amenities. In 2005 Hotel Highway Garden was upgraded into a three star hotel with exclusive amenities.

Mr. P.C. Chacko, senior advocate in the Kerala High Court, is the chairman of Hotel Highway Garden and is ably supported by Mr. Rojan Chacko, Mrs. Chinnamma Chacko and Mr. Raju Chacko, the other directors on the board. Hotel Highway garden is a Private limited company with the Forest Heaven Resort, Munnar set amidst cardamom plantations and the Kettuvallom, in the Kaloor – Kathrikkadavu Road as its sister concerns.
